These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of My Quick Card Scanner (the "App"), developed by Caetano Spuldaro Neto ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using My Quick Card Scanner, you confirm that you:
- Are at least 13 years of age
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
- Agree to comply with these Terms and our Privacy Policy
2. Description of Service
My Quick Card Scanner is a business card scanning application that uses optical character recognition (OCR) and AI to extract contact information from business card images. The App allows you to:
- Scan and digitize business cards using your device's camera
- Store and organize contact information
- Export contacts in various formats (vCard, CSV, JSON)
- Sync contacts to your iPhone Contacts app
- Create and share your own digital business card
- Optionally sync data across your devices via iCloud (Pro tier)
3. Subscription Plans
The App offers three subscription tiers: Free, Premium, and Pro. All subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store.

- Batch scanning (up to 20 cards)

3.4 Pro Tier Features
- All Premium features
- Batch scanning (up to 50 cards)
- iCloud backup and sync across devices
- Priority support
4. Auto-Renewable Subscriptions
4.1 Billing and Renewal
Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID account and automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
4.2 Free Trial
Pro Monthly and Pro Yearly subscriptions include a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. You will not be charged until the trial period ends. If you cancel during the trial period, you will not be charged.
4.3 Price Changes
We reserve the right to change subscription prices at any time. Price changes will not affect active subscriptions until renewal. You will be notified of any price changes in advance.
5. Cancellation and Refunds
5.1 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time. To cancel:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad
- Tap your name at the top
- Tap "Subscriptions"
- Select "My Quick Card Scanner"
- Tap "Cancel Subscription"
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to premium features until that time.
5.2 Refunds
All purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's refund policy. We do not have the ability to issue refunds directly. To request a refund, please contact Apple Support or visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
6. User Obligations
By using the App, you agree to:
- Use the App only for lawful purposes
- Not use the App to scan or store illegal, harmful, or inappropriate content
- Not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App
- Not use the App in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the service
- Respect the intellectual property rights of others when scanning business cards
- Obtain consent before scanning business cards that contain personal information of others
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 App Ownership
The App, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by Caetano Spuldaro Neto and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
7.2 Your Content
You retain all rights to the content you create or scan using the App (including scanned business card images and contact information). We do not claim ownership of your content.
7.3 License Grant
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal or business use in accordance with these Terms.
8. Privacy and Data
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your data. Key points:
- On-Device Processing: All OCR and AI processing occurs on your device. We do not send your business card images or contact data to our servers.
- iCloud Sync: Pro users can enable iCloud sync to backup and sync data across their Apple devices. This data is stored in your private iCloud account.
- Analytics: We collect anonymous usage analytics via Google Firebase to improve the App.
- No Data Sharing: We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.

9. OCR Accuracy Disclaimer
The App uses optical character recognition (OCR) and artificial intelligence to extract contact information from business cards. While we strive for accuracy, OCR technology is not perfect and may produce errors. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all extracted information before use.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not guarantee that:
- The App will be error-free or uninterrupted
- OCR results will be 100% accurate
- The App will meet your specific requirements
- Data synchronization (iCloud) will always work without errors
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CAETANO SPULDARO NETO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP.
In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid for the App subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Caetano Spuldaro Neto from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the App
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights (including privacy or intellectual property rights)
13. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with the following third-party services:
- Apple App Store: For subscription billing and in-app purchases
- Apple iCloud (CloudKit): For optional cloud backup and sync (Pro tier)
- Apple Contacts: For optional contact synchronization
- Google Firebase Analytics: For anonymous usage analytics
Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies.
14. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by:
- Updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
- Posting a notice in the App
- Sending a notification to users (for significant changes)
Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including:
- Violation of these Terms
- Fraudulent or illegal activity
- Abuse of the service
Upon termination, your license to use the App will immediately cease. You may delete the App from your device at any time.
16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Brazil, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved in the courts of Brazil.
17. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
18. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Caetano Spuldaro Neto regarding your use of the App and supersede all prior agreements.
